Home icon button is used to return you back to your home page.
Main Menu
Main Menu button is used to take you to the sites Administrators Main Menu. Main Menu is a hotkey that can be accessed from anywhere within Portal Prodigy by "Ctrl+Alt+M".
Dashboard
Dashboard button is used to take you to your personalized dashboard.
PortalProdigy
Portal Prodigy button is used to take you to Portal Prodigy website.
Help Icon
Help icon button is how you got here. This button is on every page of the administration.
Version
This is where we mark what version of Portal Prodigy you are running. Please note that this is also the version used to create this help page. If the version you are running is newer or older there maybe differences in layout and options.
Your Organization
You can setup here to display your company name. To do this, go to Site Settings Defaults and fill out Admin Page Title.
Style
Highlight the text you want to style and select the style you want. You have "Main Heading", "Sub Heading", and "None" to return the text back to its original state.
Pharagraph
Highlight the text you want to format and select the format you want. Here are the choices:

Font
To change the Font Style highlight the text you want to change and choose from the following:

Arial
Comic Sans MS
Courier New
Tahoma
Times New Roman
Verdana
Size
To change the Font Size highlight the text you want to change and pick from the drop down menu the size you need. Sizes are preset 1-6.
Admin Option
You can insert a link to a specific record stored in Portal Prodigy. Use the drop down menu to choose the type of record you need. The choices are:

Specify the Record ID number and click OK to insert the hyperlink.
100 Percent
To resize the HTML Editors Area enter the percentage for the size you want. The default is 100%.
Resize HTML Editor Area
Click here to execute the Resize command for the HTML Editor Area.
Bold
Highlight the text and click on the B to make it Bold. Do it again to undo it.
Italic
Highlight the text and click on the I to change it to Italics. Do it again to undo it.
Underline
Highlight the text and click on the U to change it to Underlined. Do it again to undo it.
Superscript
Highlight the text and click on the x2 to change it to SURERscript. Do it again to undo it.
Subscript
Highlight the text and click on the x2 to change it to SUBscript. Do it again to undo it.
Stikethrough
Highlight the text and click on the ABC to make it Strikethrough. Do it again to undo it.
Left Justify

Highlight the text and click on the Left Justify button to justify it to the left.


Center Justify

Highlight the text and click on the Center Justify button to center the text on the page.


Right Justify

Highlight the text and click on the Right Justify button to justify it to the right.


Numbered List
Click on the Numbered List button to start building your list. Use enter key to start the next Numbered line.

To stop the numbering click on the Numbered List button again.
Bullet List
Click on the Bullet List button to start building your list. Use enter key to start the next Bulleted line.

To stop the bullets click on the Bullet List button again.
Outdent
Click on the Outdent button to move your Numbered or Bulleted List to the left. You can highlight the whole list and move by one Tab at a time or you can highlight one line and move only it.

When you move only one line you will start a new sublist and if it's the Numbered list the numbers will adjust.
Indent
Click on the Indent button to move your Numbered or Bulleted List to the right. You can highlight the whole list and move by one Tab at a time or you can highlight one line and move only it.

When you move only one line you will start a new sublist and if it's the Numbered list the numbers will adjust.
Cut
Cuts the selected text out of the editing area and stores it in the clipboard.
Copy
Copies the selected text in the editing area and stores it in the clipboard.
Paste
Pastes the stored text from the clipboard into the editing area.
Undo
Undo allow you to undo the changes in the editing area one step at a time.
Redo
Redo allow you to redo the undo changes in the editing area one step at a time.
Font Color
Highlight the text to apply color to the font. This opens up a palette of colors to choose from, you can also use the sliding bars to make your own color, or if you know the RGB to the color you need you can enter it here as well.

Click OK to accept the color change.
Background Color
Highlight the text to apply color to the background of the text. This opens up a palette of colors to choose from, you can also use the sliding bars to make your own color, or if you know the RGB to the color you need you can enter it here as well.

Click OK to accept the color change.
Insert Table
Use this button to create new or edit an existing table. To edit a table highlight it first and then click this button to have Edit Table enabled. Set the number of Rows, Columns and the width percentage of the page in this first section. Padding and Spacing allow you to set the cell spacing and the spacing between the cells. Borders will let you choose the thickness and color of the table. Zero will make it invisible. You can also set the background color for the entire table.

When you ready click Insert Table to place it on the page.
Show/Hide Table Borders
This Show/Hide Table Borders function is useful when you have a border width set to 0 and you need to see it for a moment. With this button you can quickly toggle the onscreen border on or off.
Insert Image
Portal Prodigy uses a JAVA applet to upload files. To upload an image click here to go to the applet page. Once the image is uploaded it will be automatically inserted into this document.
Resize Image
To resize the image click on it in the editing area to select it and then click this resize button to open the resize dialog. When the little lock is on this means the aspect ratio is locked so when you enter the width it will calculate the proper height for you and vice versa. You can also click on the little lock to unlock it and enter a custom width and height.

If you want the actual file to get resized check the box to resize image file and click OK to proceed.
Inser Link
This will insert a hyperlink on the page. You have the option to choose type of link you need. Here are all the types:

When you choose the type of link you want the editor will insert the proper beginning tag for you.

Type in the URL after the tag and click OK to insert the Hyperlink.
Insert Rule
This will insert a line across to separate your page into sections.
This is what it looks like.
Insert Break
Since the enter key doesn't work in html, break is what you need to insert to go to the next line.


You can insert several breaks to make more space between paragraphs or pictures.
Editing Area
This is your editing area, by default it's in the visual editing mode and everything will show up formatted. If you switch to the html code editing mode it will show all your work in raw html.
HTML
Click on the checkbox to switch to the HTML code editing mode.
Save
Saves the data and continue working on the page. Save is a hotkey that can be accessed by "Ctrl+Alt+S".
Cancel
Close the page and discard all entries and edits. Cancel is a hotkey that can be accessed by "Ctrl+Alt+N".
Close
Close button is used to close the page and save changes. Portal Prodigy will prompts to save changes. OK response saves changes, closes page, and returns to previous page. CANCEL response discards all entries and edits (same as Cancel button). Close is a hotkey that can be accessed by "Ctrl+Alt+C".
