Add a Newsletter Feature Article to a HTML Printed Format
Newsletter Issue
- Read the chapter titled “Newsletter/Publication Features
in Detail” in the Administration Manual.
- Create a newsletter issue. See tutorial titled, “Create
and Publish a Text Format Email Broadcast Newsletter”
- Click the Add Feature button on the Newsletter Issue
Component page.
- Enter a topic heading in the Heading Bar Title field.
- Enter the article headline into the Headline field.
- If desired enter a sub headline or brief comment into Sub
Headline field.
- Enter the article’s sort order. The number entered into
the Sort Order field decides the order of the articles/items within the
issue. If items have the same Sort Order number entered then they will be
sorted alphabetically.
- Enter the author’s name.
- Enter the title to appear in the issues contents table
into the In This Issue field.
- If desired, you may search your organization’s website for
content by selecting a website feature category in the Choose Content From
field and then clicking on Open button. The selection or search page for
the feature selected will open in a separate session of the browse. Search
for appropriate content and copy then paste it into the Content field on
the Issue Component Management page.

Type content directly into Content
page. DO NOT paste copy from internet sites, MS Word document or other
applications directly int Content field as they will likely contain invisible
scripts an commands that can corrupt your newsletter. Instead, paste such content
into Note Pad Text Editor (Text editor located in accessories folder on all
Windows computers) then copy from Note Pad and paste into Comment field. Note
Pad strips invisible scripts and commands from the content.
- If you wish to add a picture to the news article, click on
the Feature Image browse button and import a JPG or GIF format file from
your computer or network.
- Enter a related breakout comment or article if desired
- To add an advertisement that will appear at the bottom
of the article, click the Text or Image radio button on the
Advertisement form included on the Issue Component Management page. (NOTE:
To create an independent advertisement which appears at the end of the
news letter, visit the Newsletter Issue Component page.

Enter an Advertisement Headline.

Enter advertisement content into Advertisement Copy field. DO NOT

Enter the Name of the Advertisement Contact.
If you chose Image Radio button,
click on the Advertisement Image browse button and import a JPG or GIF format
file from your computer or network
- Click Save button.
