Automatically Send Thank You Note to Submitters of Surveys and Forms

 

You need to create an Surveys Auto Broadcast Template. The Auto Broadcast message is delivered when a visitor submits a survey questionnaire if the feature is turned on in Survey Features Management. Variable Data from the specific survey is inserted into the template and delivered to the submitter for the purpose of confirming the submission.

 

1. Read the chapter titled “Surveys Feature in Detail” in the Administration Manual.

 

2. Read the chapter titled “Broadcasting Features in Detail” in the Administration Manual.

 

3. Click the Broadcasting add icon on the Site Administration Menu page.

 

4. Select Type = Email

 

5. Enter a sender’s address. Usually an address is set up on organizations mail server as surveymanager@yourdomain.com

 

6. Enter “Thank You for completing our form/survey” into Subject field.

 

7. Set Object Type to Survey.

 

8. Type or copy and paste the following into message field:

 

Dear <%CONTACT:FirstName%> <% CONTACT:LastName%>

 

We havs received the results you submitted for <%SURVEY:SurveyName%>.

9. Click on Save button
