Customize an Event’s Registration Types and Fees - Administering Event Item Page

 

  1. Read the chapter titled “Events Features in Detail” in the Administration Manual.

 

  1. Click on the Events browse icon on the Site Administration Menu page.

 

  1. Enter a search filter ( ID #, Name, Event Date Range, etc.) and click on Search button

 

  1. Click on the Title of the event in the Found Events table to enter the Event’s Event management page.

 

  1. Locate the Registration Types & Fees tab section of the Event Management page and click on the edit icon for the item you wish to customize.

 

  1. The Type field defaults to the value Service. It is highly unlikely that you would want to change this for events.

 

  1. If desirable change the Item Name to something more fitting.  

 

  1. Enter the fee to be charged for a quantity of one of this item.

 

  1. Ignore Cost field – FUTURE IMPLEMENTATION

 

  1. If you want your customization to this item to show up as a default for all new events select Yes.

 

  1. Set the Count as Registrant radio button. Yes indicates the item is to count as a registrant. No indicates the item is not to count as a registrant. Items such as parking, training materials, meals should have this button set to No. When an item is set to Yes and counted as a registrant it contributes to calculations which determine User Limits and Item Limits.

 

  1. Set the registration restriction rules. One Restriction Rules radio button can selected for each item.

 

    1. Anyone Can Register – Allows any security level visitor to register for item.
    2. For Members Only – Allows only users with Member Member Type assigned to their login (Contact Record).
    3. Must be Member to Register Others – Allows only users with Member Member Type assigned to their login (Contact Record). This is used so members can, in addition to themselves, sign up multiple attendees such as spouse, employees and guests.
    4. For Non-Members Only – Makes item available only to logins not assigned Member Member Type
  1. If desirable, set the User Limit to limit the number of units of this item a single user can purchase or signup for.

 

  1. If necessary, set the Item Limit to limit the number of units of this item that can be purchased. Use for items like parking spaces, etc. Not for registrant limits. IMPORTANT: use the Event Limit field on the Event Management page to limit the number of registrants that can signup

 

  1. Click the Save button.
