Build and Add Formatted Information Pages to the Website
1. Read the chapter of Administrator Manual titled “Table Builder Feature in Detail”. 2. Go to Site Administration Menu. 3. Click on the Table Builder Go To icon, located in the Site Management section, to go to the Table Builder Search page.
4. Click on Add New button to display the Table Builder Management page.
5. The first task is to configure a page title such as “Our Services”.
6. The page title may be created by entering it as text or you may upload it as a graphical image. Select the Page Title Type by clicking the radio button selection:
a. Image – select to load a graphical image file for the Page Title. b. Text – select to enter the Page Title as text. 7. If you selected Text as Page Title Type configure the following Page Title options: a. Table Page Title b. Font Type c. Font Size d. Font Color e. Font Style 8. If you selected Image as Page Title Type use the Browse button to load an image from your computer. 9. The next task is to create a Heading. A Heading is nothing more than a sub-titel and is optional. 10. Select a Page Heading Title Type by clicking one of the following radio button selections:
a. Image – select to load an image file for the Page Title. b. Text – select to enter the Page Title as text. 11. If you selected Text as Page Heading Type configure the following page title options: a. Table Page Title b. Font Type c. Font Size d. Font Color e. Font Style 12. If you selected Image as Page Heading Type use the Browse button to load an image from your computer. 13. The next step is to enter a summary or overview into the Header Description. Click the HTML Editor icon to use PortalProdigy’s HTML WYSIWYG Document Editor. See the Quick Tutorial titled “Using the HTML Editor”. 14. The next step is to enter a closing or call to action in the Footer Description. Click the HTML Editor icon to use PortalProdigy’s HTML WYSIWYG Document Editor. See the Quick Tutorial titled “Using the HTML Editor”. 15. Use the Images Align radio button options to select a format style.
16. Click Save button. This saves the Page and enables adding of Topics and Items using the Table Items section.
17. Topics are optional. First you must create your Topics then you will assign them when you add Items. To create topics repeat the following steps for each topic:
a. Click ‘Add Topic’ button to display the Table Builder Topics Management page.
b. Click the Add New Topic link.
c. Enter the Topic name in the Topic field.
d. Enter a number in the Sort Order field or leave all topics with 0 to have PortalProdigy sort them alphabetically.
e. Click the ‘Save’ button.
18. Repeat the following steps for each item:
a. Click ‘Add Item’ button to display the Mini Browser Item Management page.
b. Enter the Item Name.
c. Enter a description for the Item. Click the HTML Editor icon to use PortalProdigy’s HTML WYSIWYG Document Editor. See the Quick Tutorial titled “Using the HTML Editor”. d. Load a picture that will be displayed next to the Item Descripiton by clicking on the ‘Small Image’ Browse button. e. Load a picture to be displayed when the user clicks on the small picture. Click on the ‘Large Image’ Browse button. f. If you previously created Topics, select one from the Topic drop down list. g. Select a Font Type for the Topic. h. Font Size for the Topic. i. Font Color for the Topic. j. Font Style for the Topic. k. Enter a Sort Order number. This allows you to control the order of the Items. You may leave the sort order set to “0” to have Portal Prodigy sort them alphabetically.
l. Click the Close button and confirm save.
19. On the Table Builder Management page, click the Close button and if prompted, confirm save. 20. Add a Link to the Information Page: a. Read Menu Builder section of chapter titled “Features Management Menu in Detail” of Administration Manual. b. Click the Features edit icon on the Site Administration Menu Page. c. Click on Menu Builder link. d. Search for menus. e. Select applicable menu by clicking on its title. f. Click on Add Menu Item button (Lower right of Menu Items table) g. If applicable select a Topic. h. Enter the Items name. i. Enter a Sort Order number. j. Menu Item Option provides four choices. Click the radio button corresponding to ‘Administrative Option’. k. Select “Table” from Administrative Option list box. l. Click the Search icon (on right side of text box on Administrative Option row). m. Use the Table Builder Search page to search and select a Table. n. Click Close button and if prompted confirm save. 21. You are finished.
