Using Product Search, Customers
may perform a broad search for Products with the All Search Category (default) or narrower search by selecting a
specific Search Category. To use the
Product Search feature:
- Select a Search Category from the drop
down list or leave the default value of All.
- Enter a keyword or phrase in the text
box.
- Click
to perform a search.
- PORTALPRODIGY will locate all Products
that begin with the entered keyword or phrase and display the results as
shown below:
Product Search is configured by a permitted
Administrator by first using Product Detail Categories Management to define
Product Categories, then using Items Management to enter keywords for each
Product. Search results are formatted
according to the configuration of the Product Catalog Category Found Products. Product Name, Short Description, Description
1, and Description 2 are automatically indexed and made searchable using
Product Search.
